About Solitude

I once read in a pop-up next door the following quote.

What is active is loneliness, while what is passive is loneliness, and those who enjoy loneliness are not actually lonely

The word "loneliness" is broken down into two parts: there are children, melons and fruits, small dogs and flies, enough to sustain a humane atmosphere at the entrance of a lane in the middle of a summer evening. Under the willow hut, the children are holding melons; the dogs are chasing butterflies down the narrow lane; the world is bustling with laughter, but I am left with the wind at my temples. --Children and fruits, cats and dogs, flies, of course, are lively, but they have nothing to do with you, and this is called solitude. --Lin Yutang
